Story:-
The movie has two love
stories running parallely. The first one features Surya(Raj
Arjun) and Sri Lakshmi(Kritika) who are in love with each from the past five years. As Surya has some financial family problems, he
keeps postponing his marriage with Sri Lakshmi. Irritated with this attitude,
one day Sri Lakshmi gets into a huge argument with Surya and parts ways.
The second story
features Santosh(Rohit) and Divya(Neha Deshpande). Santosh is an aspiring film director who falls in love with
Divya, who is a costume
designer. Even this love story ends with a small feud between the couple.
Though both the above said stories start on a different note
in the first half, they reach at a certain point called Tilak(Ngag Babu). Who
is this Tilak? How is he related to the these love stories? Will the separated
couples patch up finally? For all these questions, you need to watch the film
on big screen.
Plus Points:-
Nagababu plays a key role in this film. He does complete
justice to his part and acts pretty well. Debutante Rohit impresses in the role
of a aspiring director. He looks stylish and carries off his role
exceptionally.Heroines Neha and Kritika make decent debuts. Dhanraj and
Venu’s comedy in a few scenes is good. Climax of the movie is convincing and justifies
the whole film. Visually the film is very enhancing.
Minus Points:-
Biggest drawback of the film is its pace. The movie moves at
a snails pace and has the same effect till the end. After a certain point of
time, the movie becomes very predictable.Though both the heroines make decent debuts, their roles are
too complex for them to perform. There is absolutely no entertainment in the film which is a big let off for
the masses. Dhanraj and Venu have not been used effectively in the film.
Technical Aspects:-
Cinematography and music play an important role in elevating
this film. Each and every frame looks top notch and give a pleasant feeling.Ram Narayan’s music is decent. But his background score takes
the film to another level. Dialogues are horrible and so is the editing work.
Tumma Kiran is just average as a director. He has handled too
many departments, and has faltered in executing the plot properly. His story is pretty ordinary and
has nothing much to offer.
Verdict:-
Overall, Dil Deewana is yet another badly executed youthful
entertainer. Except for the decent visuals
and soothing music, this film has nothing to offer and will make you sleep with its slow pace.
