Action hero Vishal’s who turned producer with his last film ‘Dheerudu’ has
come back with yet another film in Indrudu. This the Telugu dubbed version of
the Tamil film ‘Naan Sigappu Manithan’. Lakshmi Menon is the female lead in
this film which is directed by Thiru. This film has released today. Let us see
how it is..
Story:
Indra (Vishal) suffers from a rare sleeping disorder called Narcolepsy.
Because of this disorder, he falls asleep for any emotional situations like
happiness, anger, shock etc.He depends totally on his mother (Saranya) and he
cannot go out single. No company offers him job knowing his disorder. One fine day, he
accidentally meets a rich girl Meera (Lakshmi Menon). She helps him fulfill his
desires which he had from his childhood. During the course of this time, they
both develop love for eachother. Meera’s father objects for their marriage.
However, they decide to persuade their father to agree for their marriage. At
this instance, Meera gets attacked by few people who hit her brutally. Who and
Why has Meera been attacked? How does Indra take revenge with his unusual
disorder? That forms the rest of the story.
Vishal in his usual style performed well. It’s certainly not easy to essay
the character he did. The scenes in which he collapses all of a suddenlook
very natural.Heroine Lakshmi Menon also performed to her best. In the scenes
where goons attack her, she gave superb and natural expressions of pain and
agony.Saranya, who played as Vishal’s mother needs a special mention as she
did justice to her character.First half is very entertaining. The way Vishal
takes his revenge executed well in the second half. The twist in the second half
is good. Even though there are very few characters, everyone has performed
quite well.
There are not many minus points in this film. The flash back which comes in
the second half is little boring. It breaks down the pace of the movie. Even
though it is important for the story line, director could have made it
crisper. The song which comes in the second half was also not needed as it
added extra minutes to the runtime. The later part of the second half feels
little boring
Songs composed by GV Prakash are good.
He elevated few chasing scenes with his background score.
Richard’s cinematography is impressive. Then coming to the aptain of the ship,
director Thiru, he used a small story line very effectively. It seems he has
researched a lot about Narcolepsy, and wrote a good screenplay to
maintain the pace of the movie. He also extracted very good performances from
his actors.
Even though there were many films made on
some or the other disorders, this film is definitely a new experience. The
unique story line and the pace of the movie makes it even
more interesting. Finally, Inrudu is definitely your money’s worth and is
surely a one time watch
