Senior Heroine Sumalatha and
Actress Jayaprada have been testing their fortune in the upcoming Lok Sabha
Elections. While Sumalatha is contesting as Independent candidate from Mandya
constituency in Karnataka state, where as Jayaprada contesting on BJP Ticket from Rampur
Constituency which was represented by her for two times in the past. These Cine
Glam Dolls of the 80s have been drawing the attention of people across the
country now.
Both senior Actresses
Sumalatha and Jayaprada had many things in common. They both are Film Industry in the year 1979. Their age is
one and the nearly same 55. Both of them had done films in multiple
indian languages, known for their beauty, acting calibre and dignified
behaviour.
Heroine Jayaprada was born
in Rajahmundry,Andhra Prdesh on April
3rd, 1962. Lalitha Rani was her original name. Her Parents Krishna Rao,
Neelaveni encouraged her to gain dance from childhood. Her dancing talent fetched her film offer from Directror K Balachander at the age of 13 and
received first remuneration of Rs 10. She acted in Telugu,
Tamil, Hindi, Kannada,Malayalam, Bengali and Marathi Films. Jayaprada's
political career began with Telugu Desam Party. Later, She joined in SP and became an MP.
Sumalatha was born in Andhra
on August 27th in the year 1963. She was crowned Miss Andhra in 1979 and became
familiar at the age of 15. Top producer
D Ramanaidu casted her in few Telugu
films and she never looked back thereafter in film industry. Sumalatha received
her first remuneration Rs 1001 and done
nearly in 220 films. After the demise of her husband Ambareesh, She took a
plunge into politics and defeat against Congress-JD (S) candidate Nikhil Gowda
in Mandya Constituency .
